Who is Delker Optik — An eyewear and optical store with 30 branches across Germany. They use online campaigns, powered by modern digital experiences, to drive traffic to their stores.
Delker relies on an in-store experience to drive eyewear sales, and has a long history of conducting strategic mailer campaigns to get results. But they know the importance of impressive digital experiences for modern consumers. They began developing strategies to help them drive in-store traffic by using digital experiences to start customers on their journey.
First, they used a unique QR code in leaflet mailers—and got some traction. Then, they updated their strategy: they used QR codes to send customers to a dedicated landing page of products, There, they saw some increase, but it still was not enough. They turned to Luna to help them come up with a strategy for driving in-store traffic, using our digital try-on solutions.

Delker found a combination that works, and now runs mailer campaigns using Luna’s Virtual Try-On solution by allowing customers to scan a QR code on a traditional leaflet mailer, which lands them on a dedicated landing page. On that page, customers can use Luna’s VTO technology to start exploring styles before they visit their local Delker shop. The result is a fast, engaging introduction to the Delker brand—and a shopping experience that, on every channel, puts the customer in control of their choices.
With the integration of VTO into their existing campaigns, the Delker team have seen some truly impressive campaign results. With a 156% increase in page visits to their VTO landing page, they have found that their campaigns running with VTO perform far better than those without.
During pandemic shut-downs, Delker needed a way to continue to operate safely. Combining the power of their QR code strategy with Luna’s virtual try-on technology, Delker was able to offer customers a way to browse styles remotely, even when stores were closed. For us, Luna was the only service that we know of that uses a video-based approach. If you need prescription glasses then you probably cannot see yourself in live-based try-on and see how you look in frames with a tool like Fittingbox. The video experience was one of our biggest drivers to be able to service customers that have strong prescriptions and cannot not use glasses while using the try-on experience.
Virtual try-on is not only for fashion, but also for fit to ensure that the frames fit correctly. It is one thing to know if you like the frames and how they look. It is another to know if they actually fit. Accurate measurements are essential to selling online.

Our biggest concern was knowing if we could digitize enough frames and the time needed to implement so we could launch our landing pages and mailers campaign. Luna was able to work with us to meet our timeline so that we could launch our campaigns. Once our VTO was implemented the leaflets were able to be distributed. This smooth implementation was critical.
